Abstract
The invention comprises a method of treatment of aggression and similar behavioral syndromes, such as impulsivity and irritability, by a pharmaceutical agent exhibiting combined D2 and D5 antagonistic activity.
Claims7
A method of treating impulsive aggression in an attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) patient, comprising:
- (a) selecting a patient with ADHD as the sole condition and manifesting impulsive aggression not controlled by ADHD treatment;
- and
- (b) administering 10 mg/day to 200 mg/day of molindone to the ADHD patient,
- wherein the administration decreases instances of impulsivity.
