6-alkynyl-pyridine derivatives

A method for the treatment of a disease which is cancer, wherein the cancer is selected from carcinomas of the brain or ovary, melanomas, acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), chronic lymphatic leukaemias (CLL) and multiple myeloma (MM), which comprises administering to a host suffering from a cancer a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of formula I

• R1 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, —C1-3alkyl and halogen;
• R2 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, —C1-3alkyl and halogen;
• R3 is selected from the group consisting of phenyl,
• R4 is a 5- or 6-membered heteroaryl substituted with —C1-3alkyl or —O—C1-3alkyl;
• or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof,
• or a pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound of formula 1 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
