Abstract
The present invention relates to a bone-fixation anchor comprising a rigid expandable part and a soft part. The rigid expandable part secures the anchor with respect to the bone and the soft part enables the anchor to fit any bone screw on the market.
Claims20
A bone-fixation anchor, comprising:
- a first part including a deformable material configured to establish contact with a bone screw upon insertion of the screw into the anchor;
- a second part comprising one or more blades including a plurality of anchor blade edges, the second part configured to be deformed when the screw is inserted into the anchor, and
- at least one sliding part partially situated within at least one of the plurality of anchor blade edges and extending between two edges of the anchor blade edges and configured for preventing bone growth inside the anchor.
