A composition, comprising an isolated antibody or binding agent that specifically binds to an epitope located within an aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase (AARS) polypeptide which comprises at least 5 contiguous amino acids selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NO:
- 27, 29, 31, and 84, wherein the composition has a purity of at least about 90% and is substantially endotoxin-free.
