Abstract
Methods and apparatuses for controlling power in a communication system are provided. A first user equipment (UE) receives power control related information from a base station. Data is transmitted to a second UE based on a transmission power, if there is no uplink transmission. The transmission power is based on a first transmission power determined by a number of assigned resource blocks, a path loss, and the received power control related information.
Claims12
A method of controlling power in a communication system, the method comprising:
- receiving, by a first user equipment (UE), power control related information from a base station;
- and
- transmitting data, from the first UE, to a second UE based on a transmission power, if there is no uplink transmission from the first UE,
- wherein the transmission power is based on a first transmission power determined by a number of assigned resource blocks, a path loss, and the received power control related information.
A first user equipment (UE) in a communication system, comprising:
- a transceiver configured to transmit and receive signals;
- and
- a controller configured to control the transceiver to:
- receive power control related information from a base station;
- and
- transmit data to a second UE based on a transmission power, if there is no uplink transmission from the first UE,
- wherein the transmission power is based on a first transmission power determined by a number of assigned resource blocks, a path loss, and the received power control related information.
