Abstract
An electrophotographic photosensitive member includes a surface layer with a hexagonal boron nitride dispersed therein. The hexagonal boron nitride has a graphitization index (GI) of at least 3.0 and less than 15.0.

An electrophotographic photosensitive member comprising:
- a support;
- and
- a photosensitive layer on the support, wherein
- a surface layer of the electrophotographic photosensitive member comprises a binder resin with a hydrophobically treated hexagonal boron nitride dispersed therein,
- the hexagonal boron nitride having a graphitization index (GI) of 3.0 to less than 15.0, and
- a content of the hexagonal boron nitride is 1 to 20% by volume with respect to the whole volume of the surface layer.

A process cartridge detachably attachable to a main body of an electrophotographic apparatus, the process cartridge integrally supporting:
- an electrophotographic photosensitive member;
- and
- at least one device selected from the group consisting of:
- a charging device for charging a surface of the electrophotographic photosensitive member,
- a developing device for developing an electrostatic latent image formed on the electrophotographic photosensitive member by using a toner to form a toner image,
- a transfer device for transferring the toner image to a transfer medium, and
- a cleaning device having a cleaning blade for cleaning the electrophotographic photosensitive member while contacting with the surface of the electrophotographic photosensitive member;
- the electrophotographic photosensitive member comprising a support, and a photosensitive layer on the support, wherein
- a surface layer of the electrophotographic photosensitive member comprises a binder resin with a hydrophobically treated hexagonal boron nitride dispersed therein,
- the hexagonal boron nitride having a graphitization index (GI) of 3.0 to less than 15.0, and
- a content of the hexagonal boron nitride is 1 to 20% by volume with respect to the whole volume of the surface layer.

- an electrophotographic photosensitive member;
- a charging device for charging a surface of the electrophotographic photosensitive member;
- an image exposing device for exposing the charged electrophotographic photosensitive member to form an electrostatic latent image;
- a developing device for developing the electrostatic latent image formed on the electrophotographic photosensitive member by using a toner to form a toner image;
- a transfer device for transferring the toner image to a transfer medium;
- and
- a cleaning device having a cleaning blade for cleaning the electrophotographic photosensitive member while contacting with the surface of the electrophotographic photosensitive member;
