Abstract
A novel class or family of TGF-β binding proteins is disclosed. Also disclosed are assays for selecting molecules for increasing bone mineralization and methods for utilizing such molecules.
Claims2
A method for identifying a candidate molecule capable of inhibiting binding of a protein encoded by SEQ ID NO:
- 1 to bone or an analogue thereof, comprising:
- combining, in vitro, a candidate molecule and a protein encoded by SEQ ID NO:
- 1 in the presence of bone or an analogue thereof;
- and detecting whether the candidate molecule inhibits the binding of the protein to bone or an analogue thereof.
