A method of treating a subject, the method comprising administering to the subject an anti-stem cell factor antibody that specifically binds to stem cell factor isoform b relative to stem cell factor isoform a or an antigen-binding antibody fragment that specifically binds to stem cell factor isoform b relative to stem cell factor isoform a.
