Abstract
A cassette for a heated fluid ablation system, comprises a fluid supply lumen receiving an ablation fluid from an external fluid source and a fluid chamber containing a therapeutic agent in combination with an impeller pumping the ablation fluid out of the cassette via to a fluid delivery lumen when the cassette is in a first configuration and pumping the therapeutic agent out of the cassette via the fluid delivery lumen when the cassette is in a second configuration.

A method for ablating target tissue within a hollow organ, comprising:
- heating an ablation fluid ex-vivo to a predetermined temperature;
- pumping the heated ablation fluid from a cassette via a fluid delivery lumen into an introducer inserted into a hollow organ containing the target tissue to thermally ablate the target tissue with the heated ablation fluid;
- after the ablation fluid has been circulated through the hollow organ, withdrawing the ablation fluid from the hollow organ via a fluid return lumen in the introducer, the fluid return lumen coupled to the cassette;
- and
- pumping a therapeutic agent from the cassette via the fluid delivery lumen into the introducer inserted into the hollow organ.

An ablation system, comprising:
- a console including a pump motor;
- a cassette releasably coupleable to the console and including a reservoir configured to receive a fluid from an external source via a fluid supply lumen, a therapeutic agent chamber containing a therapeutic agent, and an impeller interfacing with the pump motor of the console to deliver one of the fluid and the therapeutic agent to a hollow organ via a delivery lumen;
- a heating element heating the fluid received within the reservoir such that the fluid is at a desired temperature for thermal ablation of a target tissue within the hollow organ when the fluid is delivered to the hollow organ;
- and
- a return lumen withdrawing one of the heated fluid and the therapeutic agent from the hollow organ to the cassette.
