Abstract
The present invention provides an inbred corn line designated HID3190, methods for producing a corn plant by crossing plants of the inbred line HID3190 with plants of another corn plant. The invention further encompasses all parts of inbred corn line HID3190, including culturable cells. Additionally provided herein are methods for introducing transgenes into inbred corn line HID3190, and plants produced according to these methods.
Claims19
A seed of maize variety HID3190, wherein representative seed of said variety HID3190 have been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-122303.
A plant of maize variety HID3190, wherein representative seed of said variety HID3190 have been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-122303.
A process of introducing an additional trait into maize plant HID3190 comprising:
- (a) crossing HID3190 plants grown from HID3190 seed, representative seed deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-122303, with another maize plant that comprises an additional trait to produce hybrid progeny plants, (b) selecting hybrid progeny plants that have the additional trait to produce selected hybrid progeny plants;
- (c) crossing the selected progeny plants with the HID3190 plants to produce backcross progeny plants;
- (d) selecting for backcross progeny plants that have the additional trait to produce selected backcross progeny plants;
- and (e) repeating steps (c) and (d) at least three or more times to produce backcross progeny plants that comprise the additional trait and all of the physiological and morphological characteristics of maize inbred plant HID3190 when grown in the same environmental conditions.
