Abstract
Methods and systems are provided for introducing a charge motion to a cylinder via a bladder in an intake manifold runner. In one example, a system may include positioning a bladder in an intake port proximate to a cylinder.
Claims3
A method, comprising;
- adjusting, via compressed air from a compressed air source, each of a first variable bladder in a cylinder intake port and a second variable bladder in an intake manifold in response to a sensed vehicle operating parameter, the first variable bladder coupled in a cartridge that is inserted and positioned into an engine bulkhead between a cylinder and the cylinder intake port, the cartridge surrounded by coolant.
