End termination for three-phase insulated conductors

A fitting for coupling ends of cores of three insulated conductors, comprising:

• an end termination placed over end portions of the three insulated conductors, wherein the end termination comprises three separate openings that pass through the end termination, each of the insulated conductors passing through one of the openings with end portions of the insulated conductors protruding from one side of the end termination, exposed cores of the end portions of the insulated conductors protruding from the end termination;
• a fitting sleeve coupled to the side of the end termination from which the end portions of the insulated conductors protrude;
• an electrical coupling between the exposed portions of the cores;
• electrically insulating material filling the fitting sleeve such that the cores are substantially enclosed in the electrically insulating material;
• and
• an end cap coupled to the fitting sleeve.

A fitting for coupling ends of cores of two or more insulated conductors, comprising:

• an end termination placed over end portions of the two or more insulated conductors, wherein the end termination comprises separate openings for each insulated conductor that pass through the end termination, each of the insulated conductors passing through one of the openings with end portions of the insulated conductors protruding from one side of the end termination, exposed cores of the end portions of the insulated conductors protruding from the end termination;
• a fitting sleeve coupled to the side of the end termination from which the end portions of the insulated conductors protrude;
• an electrical coupling between the exposed portions of the cores;
• electrically insulating material filling the fitting sleeve such that the cores are substantially enclosed in the electrically insulating material;
• and
• an end cap coupled to the fitting sleeve.
