Abstract
Embodiments are related to integrated circuit (IC) fabrication and, more particularly, to a fluidic assembly process for the placement of light emitting diodes on a direct-emission display substrate.
Claims11
A fluidic assembly direct-emission display panel comprising:
- a substrate with a planar top surface and interconnect pads aligned in a plurality of rows;
- a first film disposed over the top surface of the substrate, wherein the first film includes a plurality of wells, and wherein each of the plurality of wells exposes a corresponding ones of the interconnect pads;
- and
- a second film disposed over the first film, wherein the second film includes at least one steering feature surrounding two or more of the plurality of wells.

A display panel, the panel comprising:
- a substrate with a planar top surface and interconnect pads;
- a first film layer disposed over the top surface of the substrate, wherein the first film layer includes a plurality of wells, and wherein each of the plurality of wells exposes a corresponding ones of the interconnect pads;
- and
- a second film layer disposed over the first film layer, wherein the second film layer includes at least one steering structure surrounding two or more of the plurality of wells.
