wherein the OPP extract is a water soluble extract obtained from a vegetation liquor of a palm oil milling process,
wherein said freeze dried concentrate of the OPP extract has a strength of 30000 ppm GAE, and
wherein said composition is in a form selected from the group consisting of a capsule, a sachet, a lozenge, and a tablet.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

A method for maintaining or promoting cardiovascular health of a subject, said method comprising regularly administering to said subject an effective amount of the composition according to claim 1.

The method of claim 2, wherein said subject is a healthy individual or animal.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

A method for improving cardiovascular health of a subject, said method comprising regularly administering to said subject an effective amount of the composition according to claim 1.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The method of claim 4, wherein said subject is a healthy individual or animal.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

A method for preventing the development of atherosclerotic lesions in a subject at risk therefor, said method comprising regularly administering to said subject an effective amount of the composition according to claim 1.

### Claim 7 (depends on 6)

The method of claim 6, wherein said subject is a healthy individual or animal.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

A method for protecting against cardiovascular disease, said method comprising regularly administering to a subject in need thereof an effective amount of the composition according to claim 1.
