Abstract
A runner segment for an edge guard includes an insertion projection that can be inserted into an insertion receptacle of the edge guard.
Claims19
An edge guard for a road milling machine or a soil working machine, the edge guard comprising:
- a base part formed from metal plate having opposite parallel lateral plate surfaces, the metal plate having a plate width defined between the lateral plate surfaces, the metal plate having a lower edge portion having a plurality of insertion receptacles defined in the lower edge portion within the plate width, the insertion receptacles being open toward an underside of the edge guard and configured to receive runner segments in the insertion receptacles.
An edge guard for a road milling machine or a soil working machine, the edge guard comprising:
- a base part having an edge portion having a plurality of insertion receptacles defined in the edge portion and configured to receive runner segments in the insertion receptacles;
- and
- a plurality of runner segments, each runner segment including an elongated runner portion and an insertion projection extending upward from the runner portion and received in a respective one of the insertion receptacles;
- wherein each insertion projection includes a clamp element including one or more elastic protrusions resiliently engaging an inner surface of its respective one of the insertion receptacles to hold the insertion projection within the insertion receptacle.
