Telematic locomotive microfluidic analysis

A fluid analyzing system comprising:

• a telematics device coupled with a locomotive;
• a fluid analysis control module coupled with said locomotive and said telematics device, said fluid analysis control module configured to, in response to an analysis trigger:
• acquire a microfluidic sample of a fluid from a fluid source of said locomotive,
• provide said microfluidic sample to a microfluidic analyzer for conduction of a microfluidic analysis of said microfluidic sample,
• conduct the microfluidic analysis of the microfluidic sample with the microfluidic analyzer to generate microfluidic analysis results, and
• provide the generated results to the telematics device,
• wherein said analysis trigger comprises an operating characteristic of said locomotive, wherein said operating characteristic is elapsed operating time of said locomotive;
• an electronic receiving device coupled to the locomotive;
• and
• a locomotive management system located remotely from said locomotive and said telematics device, said locomotive management system configured for wirelessly receiving the results of said microfluidic analysis transmitted from said telematics device, and for sending a command to the electronic receiving device,
• wherein the electronic receiving device is configured to modify operation of the locomotive in response to the command from the locomotive management system, such that the locomotive management system telematically controls the electronic receiving device to modify the operation of the locomotive by sending the command.
