Abstract
Systems and methods are provided for context determination. In one implementation one or more indications can be received, each of the one or more indications corresponding to a perception of one or more access points in relation to a user device. The one or more indications can be processed to determine one or more characteristics of at least one of the one or more access points. Based on the one or more characteristics, a context of the user device can be determined.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- perceiving, by a user device, one or more access points;
- in response to a perception of the one or more access points, adjusting, by a processing device, a frequency at which one or more sensors of the user device are utilized in determining whether the user device is present within a moving vehicle;
- and
- based on a determination that the user device no longer perceives at least one of the one or more access points, further adjusting the frequency at which the one or more sensors of the user device are utilized in a determination as to whether the user device is present within the moving vehicle.
A system comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- a processing device, operatively coupled to the memory, to:
- receive an indication corresponding to a connection of a user device to an access point;
- based on a determination that the user device is connected to the access point, adjust a frequency at which one or more sensors of the user device are utilized in a determination as to whether the user device is present within a moving vehicle;
- and
- based on a determination that the user device is no longer connected to the access point, adjust the frequency at which at least one of the one or more sensors of the user device are utilized in a determination as to whether the user device is present within the moving vehicle.
A non-transitory computer readable medium having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by a processing device, cause the processing device to:
- receive an indication corresponding to a connection of a user device to an access point;
- based on a determination that the user device is connected to the access point, adjust a frequency at which one or more sensors of the user device are utilized in a determination as to whether the user device is present within a moving vehicle;
- and
- based on a determination that the user device is no longer connected to the access point, further adjust the frequency at which the one or more sensors of the user device are utilized in a determination as to whether the user device is present within the moving vehicle.
