Abstract
Compounds useful as fluorescent or colored dyes are disclosed. The compounds have the following structure (I): Formula (I), including stereoisomers, salts and tautomers thereof, wherein R1a, R1b, R2a, R2b, R2c, R2d, R2e, R2f, R2g, R2h, R2i, R2j, R2k, R2l, R2m, R2n, R2o, R2p, R2q, R2r and R2s are as defined herein. Methods associated with preparation and use of such compounds are also provided.
Claims22
A compound having the following structure (I):
- or a salt, stereoisomer or tautomer thereof, wherein:
- R1a and R1b are each independently hydroxyl or alkoxy;
- and
- R2a, R2b, R2c, R2d, R2e, R2f, R2g, R2h, R2i, R2j, R2k, R2l, R2m, R2n, R2o, R2p, R2q, R2r, R2s and R2t are each independently H, halo or -L1-R3;
- R3 is, at each occurrence, independently an analyte molecule or alkyl substituted with one or more of hydroxyl, protected hydroxyl, amino, alkylamino, alkoxy, polyalkyether, hydroxylalkoxy, aminoalkoxy, hydroxylpolyalkyether, aminopolyalkyether, phosphate, thiophosphate, phospho, thiophospho, phosphoalkylether, Ophosphoalkylether, thiophosphoalkylether, Othiophosphoalkylether, phosphoramidite or activated phosphorous;
- or R3 is a microparticle;
- and
- L1 is an optional linker moiety.
