Abstract
The present invention relates to ester-coated core particles, thermoplastic polymer composition comprising a thermo-plastic polymer and such coated particles, a method for producing ester coated particles and the use of compositions of the invention as fillers or pigments with improved dispersion properties and pourability.
Claims17
A composition comprising:
- (a) a core particle;
- and
- (b) a coating that at least partially surrounds said core particle and that comprises an optionally substituted ester of a polyol and a saturated or unsaturated monocarboxylic acid wherein the core particle is coated with said coating;
- wherein said core particle and said coating are not the same material and wherein said core particle has an average particle size d50 of between 1 and 500 μm.
