Abstract
A system and method for detecting a biomarker in exhaled breath condensate nanodroplets comprises noninvasively collecting exhaled breath condensate nanodroplets of a subject, and analyzing said nanodroplets utilizing immuno-quantitative polymerase chain reaction to detect one or more target biomarkers.
Claims9
A system for detecting biomarkers in exhaled breath nanodroplets, comprising:
- a collection device configured to noninvasively collect exhaled breath condensate nanodroplets from a subject by impacting said nanodroplets into a liquid medium, said collection device comprising an optical particle counter configured to determine number and size distribution of said nanodroplets;
- and
- immuno-quantitative polymerase chain reaction (IqPCR) assay for detecting one or more target biomarkers in said nanodroplets.
