Abstract
The present invention provides Leuconostoc mesenteroides NTM048 strain deposited under accession No. NITE BP-1519, or a mutant strain thereof or a processed bacterium thereof, and a lactobacillus preparation and an immunity (particularly intestinal immunity) stimulant, containing the lactobacillus or a processed bacterium thereof.

A method of stimulating immunity in a mammal, comprising administering to the mammal an effective amount of Leuconostoc mesenteroides NTM048 strain deposited under Accession No. NITE BP-1519, a culture medium thereof, wet bacteria thereof, a washed product thereof, freeze-dry powder thereof, heat-killed bacteria thereof, dry-killed bacteria thereof, chemical-killed bacteria thereof, bacteria disrupture product thereof or fermentation product obtained by inoculating NTM048 strain.
