Abstract
There is provided a flexible display having a plurality of innovations configured to allow bending of a portion or portions to reduce apparent border size and/or utilize the side surface of an assembled flexible display.

A flexible display, comprising:
- an active area having a plurality of pixels;
- and
- a notched inactive area including a bend allowance section with a plurality of conductive line traces, wherein a buffer layer etched area is provided between a notched line and a conductive line trace that is closest to the notched line in the bend allowance section.
