System, method and computer readable medium for bearer activation in a core network for wireless devices

A system comprising:

• a base station including a memory and at least one processor associated with the memory, the memory having computer readable instructions stored thereon, and the at least one processor configured to execute the computer readable instructions to,
• receive a service request message from a first device,
• store a gateway tunnel identifier, a base station identifier and a base station tunnel identifier to the memory,
• establish a radio bearer between the base station and the first device in response to the service request message,
• receive one or more first uplink data packets from the first device using the radio bearer,
• modify the one or more first uplink data packets such that the one or more first uplink data packets include the gateway tunnel identifier, the base station identifier and the base station tunnel identifier, and
• send the modified one or more first uplink data packets to a gateway, the modified one or more first uplink data packets for use by the gateway to activate a bearer without an exchange of any message regarding the bearer between the gateway and a mobility management entity or between the gateway and a serving gateway support node.
