Abstract
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for transmitting control information through a PUCCH in a wireless communication system and an apparatus thereof, comprising the steps of: spreading modulation symbol sets to first slot, by using a first code; spreading modulation symbol sets to second slot, by using a second code, wherein the length of the second code is varied according to the number of SC-FDMA symbols for PUCCH transmission.
Claims10
A method for, at a user equipment (UE), transmitting control information through a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
- joint-coding a plurality of control information to generate N1 modulation symbol sequence, wherein N1 is twice of a number of subcarriers in one resource block (RB);
- dividing the N1 modulation symbol sequence such that a first set of consecutive N1/2 modulation symbols of the N1 modulation symbols corresponds to a first slot of the PUCCH and a second set of consecutive N1/2 modulation symbols of the N1 modulation symbols corresponds to a second slot of the PUCCH;
- transmitting a first set of discrete-Fourier-transformed signals through a first set of single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) symbols in a first slot, each of the first set of discrete-Fourier-transformed signals including the first set of consecutive N1/2 modulation symbols;
- and
- transmitting a second set of discrete-Fourier-transformed signals through a second set of SC-FDMA symbols in a second slot, each of the first set of discrete-Fourier-transformed signals including the second set of consecutive N1/2 modulation symbols,
- wherein the first set of SC-FDMA symbols is covered by a first code, and the second set of SC-FDMA symbols is covered by a second code, and
- wherein the length of the first code is fixed irrespective of the number of the SC-FDMA symbols for the PUCCH transmission, and the length of the second code is varied according to the number of SC-FDMA symbols for PUCCH transmission.
A user equipment (UE) configured to transmit control information through a PUCCH in a wireless communication system, the UE comprising:
- a radio frequency (RF);
- and
- a processor,
- wherein the processor is configured to joint-code a plurality of control information to generate N1 modulation symbol sequence, wherein N1 is twice of a number of subcarriers in one resource block (RB), to divide the N1 modulation symbol sequence such that a first set of consecutive N1/2 modulation symbols of the N1 modulation symbols corresponds to a first slot of the PUCCH and a second set of consecutive N1/2 modulation symbols of the N1 modulation symbols corresponds to a second slot of the PUCCH, to transmit a first set of discrete-Fourier-transformed signals through a first set of single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) symbols in a first slot, each of the first set of discrete-Fourier-transformed signals including the first set of consecutive N1/2 modulation symbols, and to transmit a second set of discrete-Fourier-transformed signals through a second set of SC-FDMA symbols in a second slot, each of the first set of discrete-Fourier-transformed signals including the second set of consecutive N1/2 modulation symbols,
- wherein the first set of SC-FDMA symbols is covered by a first code, and the second set of SC-FDMA symbols is covered by a second code, and
- wherein the length of the first code is fixed irrespective of the number of the SC-FDMA symbols for the PUCCH transmission, and the length of the second code is varied according to the number of SC-FDMA symbols for PUCCH transmission.
