Abstract
An image processing apparatus includes a memory, and a processor in communication with the memory, the processor configured to control a storage unit configured to associate and store a document and a thumbnail image of a top page of the document, a deletion unit configured to delete a page designated from among pages of the document stored in the storage unit, and a generation unit configured to, in a case where a page to be deleted by the deletion unit is a top page of the document, generate a thumbnail image based on the top page of the document after deletion.
Claims8
An image processing apparatus comprising:
- a document storage unit configured to store documents and thumbnail images of the documents;
- a memory storing instructions;
- and
- one processor which executes the instructions and causes an image processing apparatus to function as:
- a receiving unit configured to receive a deletion instruction for deleting a document from the document storage unit
- a deleting unit configured to delete the document from the document storage unit in accordance with the deletion instruction received by the receiving unit;
- a determining unit configured to determine whether a thumbnail image of the document to be deleted is associated with a document that is different from the document to be deleted and is stored in the document storage unit;
- and
- a control unit configured not to delete the thumbnail image in a case where it is determined as a result of determination by the determining unit that the thumbnail image is associated with the document that is different from the document to be deleted and configured to delete the thumbnail image in a case where it is determined as the result of the determination by the determining unit that the thumbnail image is not associated with the document that is different from the document to be deleted.
A control method for an image processing apparatus including a document storage unit configured to store documents and thumbnail images of the documents, the control method comprising:
- receiving a deletion instruction for deleting a document from the document storage unit;
- deleting the document from the document storage unit in accordance with the deletion instruction;
- determining whether a thumbnail image of the document to be deleted is associated with a document that is different from the document to be deleted and is stored in the document storage unit;
- and
- controlling not to delete the thumbnail image in a case where it is determined that the thumbnail image is associated with the document that is different from the document to be deleted and controlling to delete the thumbnail image in a case where it is determined that the thumbnail image is not associated with the document that is different from the document to be deleted.
