Abstract
The present disclosure relates to an information providing apparatus and a method thereof capable of easily and effectively sharing (providing) information (for example, content, data, etc.) between a plurality of terminals, and an information providing apparatus according to the embodiments of the present disclosure may include a controller configured to execute an application program based on application program information contained in meta data, and process data contained in the meta data through the application program.
Claims19
An information providing apparatus, comprising:
- a communication unit configured to communicate with a first mobile terminal;
- a display configured to display information;
- and
- a controller configured to:
- control the communication unit to receive information from the first mobile terminal;
- control the display to display the received information when a vehicle in which the information providing apparatus is installed is in a non-driving state;
- determine whether the vehicle enters a driving state;
- and
- control the display to change the displayed information to path guidance information instead of the information received from the first mobile terminal when the vehicle is determined to be in the driving state.

A mobile terminal, comprising:
- a communication unit configured to communicate with an information providing apparatus in a vehicle;
- a display configured to display information;
- and
- a controller configured to:
- control the information providing apparatus to display first information while the vehicle is in a non-driving state during communication with the information providing apparatus;
- and
- control the information providing apparatus replace the displayed first information with second information that is that is path guidance information when the vehicle enters a driving state during communication with the information providing apparatus,
- wherein the first information includes at least a mirrored screen image of the mobile terminal or a screen image including one or more icons of an application capable of being displayed on the information providing apparatus.
