Method and system for tunable upstream bandwidth utilizing an integrated multiplexing device

A system, comprising:

• one or more circuits for use in a transceiver, wherein:
• the one or more circuits comprise a signal processing component and a filtering component;
• the signal processing component is operable to determine one or more adjustments that are applicable to one or more of a plurality of adjustable filters in the filtering component, wherein:
• the plurality of adjustable filters comprises:
• a first filter that is configured for filtering signals corresponding to a first frequency band associated with a first stream,
• a second filter that is configured for filtering signals corresponding to a second frequency band associated with a second stream, and
• a third filter that is configured for filtering signals corresponding to a third frequency band associated with a third stream;
• and
• the one or more adjustments correspond to modifications in one or both of the first frequency band and the second frequency band;
• the signal processing component is operable to communicate the one or more adjustments to the filtering component;
• and
• the filtering component is operable to apply the one or more one or more adjustments to the one or more of the plurality of adjustable filters in the filtering component, wherein applying at least some of the one or more adjustments to the first filter or the second filter requires one or more modifications to the third filter.
