Electronic device with switched-capacitor tuning and related method

A device comprising:

• a first block and a second block having a same capacitor configuration, wherein:
• both the first block and the second block comprise two capacitor branches connected in parallel;
• a first switch connected between the first block and the second block;
• a third block and a fourth block having a same capacitor configuration, wherein:
• both the third block and the fourth block comprise two capacitor branches connected in parallel;
• a second switch connected between the third block and the fourth block;
• a third switch connected between the first block and the fourth block;
• and
• a fourth switch connected between the third block and the second block, wherein the first block, the second block, the third block, the fourth block and the switches form a variable capacitance block.

A method comprising:

• in response to a first operation mode, turning on a first switch and a second switch, and turning off a third switch and a fourth switch, wherein:
• the first switch is connected between a first capacitor block and a second capacitor block;
• the second switch is connected between a third capacitor block and a fourth capacitor block;
• the third switch is connected between the first capacitor block and the fourth capacitor block;
• the fourth switch is connected between the second capacitor block and the third capacitor block;
• the first capacitor block and the second capacitor block share a first capacitor configuration;
• and
• the third capacitor block and the fourth capacitor block share a second capacitor configuration;
• and
• in response to a second operation mode, turning off the first switch and the second switch, and turning on the third switch and the fourth switch.
