Abstract
Particles (A) including an element capable of intercalating and deintercalating lithium ions, carbon particles (B) capable of intercalating and deintercalating lithium ions, multi-walled carbon nanotubes (C), carbon nanofibers (D) and optionally electrically conductive carbon particles (E) are mixed in the presence of shear force to obtain a composite electrode material. A lithium ion secondary battery is obtained using the above composite electrode material.
Claims11
A composite electrode material, comprising:
- particles (A) comprising an element capable of intercalating and deintercalating lithium ions,
- carbon particles (B) capable of intercalating and deintercalating lithium ions,
- multi-walled carbon nanotubes (C), and
- carbon nanofibers (D),
- wherein the carbon nanofibers (D) are bridges between two or more of the carbon particles (B),
- the multi-walled carbon nanotubes (C) are bridges between two or more of the particles (A), and
- the multi-walled carbon nanotubes (C) are present between the carbon particles (B) and the carbon nanofibers (D).
