Abstract
According to one embodiment, a display apparatus includes a plurality of semiconductor layers, a first insulation film, a first conductive layer, a second insulation film and a display element includes a second conductive layer. The first conductive layer and the second conductive layer are opposed to each other to form a capacitance unit.
Claims7
A display apparatus having a plurality of pixels arrayed in a matrix along a row direction and a column direction comprising:
- a semiconductor layer;
- a first insulation film above the semiconductor layer;
- a first conductive layer on the first insulation film;
- a second insulation film on the first insulation film and the first conductive layer;
- and
- a second conductive layer on the second insulation film,
- each of the plurality of pixels comprising:
- a display element between a high-potential power supply and a low-potential power supply;
- a drive transistor between the high-potential power supply and the display element, and configured to determine a value of current to the display element;
- a pixel switch configured to select whether a video signal is input to a gate electrode of the drive transistor;
- and
- a holding capacitance between the gate electrode of the drive transistor and a source electrode of the drive transistor;
- wherein
- the drive transistor and the pixel switch are formed by using the semiconductor layer, and
- one of electrodes of the holding capacitance and one of electrodes of the display element are formed by using the second conductive layer.
