Provided are compositions comprising newly identified protein fragments of aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases, polynucleotides that encode them and complements thereof, related agents, and methods of use thereof in diagnostic, drug discovery, research, and therapeutic applications.
Claims11
An isolated polynucleotide that encodes an aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase (AARS) polypeptide consisting of a sequence that is at least 95% identical over the entire length of SEQ ID NO:
- 12, 18, or 36 or a fragment thereof which is 90 or more contiguous amino acids of SEQ ID NO:
- 12, 18, or 36 wherein the polynucleotide is selected from (a) a cDNA polynucleotide and (b) a modified mRNA polynucleotide and wherein the encoded AARS polypeptide has an extracellular signaling activity.
