15-aryl prostaglandins as EP4 agonists, and methods of use thereof

A compound of Formula I:

• wherein:
• Y is O;
• Z is CH2;
• Q is aryl or heteroaryl, wherein said aryl and heteroaryl groups are optionally substituted with one or more R6;
• U is aryl or heteroaryl, wherein said aryl and heteroaryl groups are optionally substituted with one or more R7;
• V is aryl or heteroaryl;
• wherein said aryl and heteroaryl groups are optionally substituted with one or more R8;
• R1 is —ORa, wherein Ra is H;
• R2 is H;
• each R3, R4 and R5 is H;
• each R6 is independently —CO2Re, —CH2ORe, —CONReRf, or tetrazol-5-yl;
• wherein each Re is independently H, C1-C6 alkyl, haloalkyl, hydroxyalkyl, or aryl, and each Rf is independently H, C1-C6 alkyl, C(O)Rg, or SO2Rg, wherein Rg is C1-C6 alkyl, CF3, aryl, or heteroaryl;
• each R7 is independently H, C1-C6 alkyl, haloalkyl, halo, hydroxyl, nitro, cyano, or amino;
• each R8 is independently H, C1-C6 alkyl, haloalkyl, hydroxyalkyl, hydroxyl, halo, aryl, or heteroaryl;
• and
• m is 1;
• wherein the dashed line represents the presence of a bond, and wherein the resulting olefin geometry is trans;
• each aryl is C6 aryl;
• and
• each heteroaryl comprises 5 or 6;
• or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
