Abstract
Embodiments may pertain to methods for preparing a transition metal oxide.
Claims21
A method comprising:
- preparing a solution of an alcohol-based solvent and a transition metal;
- and
- adding a peroxide to the solution.
A method comprising:
- preparing a transition metal oxide, wherein a transition metal dispersed in an alcohol-based solvent is oxidized by way of a peroxide solution, wherein the alcohol-based solvent is combined with the transition metal followed by the peroxide solution;
- and
- vacuum-pumping the transition metal, the peroxide solution, and the alcohol-based solvent to form an at least partially dried transition metal oxide;
- and
- dispersing the at least partially dried transition metal oxide in a water-free solvent to form a transition metal oxide film.
