Abstract
This invention pertains to monovalent agents, including Fab fragments and monovalent monoclonal antibodies analogous to MetMab, having binding specificity to human Nerve Growth Factor (“NGF”), and methods of treating pain in an individual wherein there is no substantial increase in the inflammatory response of the individual following administration of the monovalent agents.
Claims13
A method of treating pain in an individual, comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of a humanized anti-human NGF Fab, Fab′, Fv or scFv antibody fragment (i) having binding specificity for NGF that does not substantially increase the inflammatory response of a patient following administration of said humanized Fab, Fab′, Fv or scFv antibody fragment and (ii) comprising the variable light (V1) chain complementarity determining regions (CDRs) of SEQ ID NO:
- 45;
- SEQ ID NO:
- 46;
- and SEQ ID NO:
- 47 and the variable heavy (V11) chain CDRs of SEQ ID NO:
- 48;
- SEQ ID NO:
- 49;
- and SEQ ID NO:
- 50.
