Abstract
The present invention provides composition and method for inducing melanogenesis. The composition comprising an effective amount of saponins extracted from herbal plants.
Claims7
A method for inducing melanogenesis in cells comprising administering a composition comprising an effective amount of saponins extracted from Gynostemma species to said cells at a non-acidic pH, wherein the effective amount is 50-150 μg/ml saponins extracted from Gynostemma species.
