Targeted delivery of anti-fungal agents

A chitin targeting agent comprising the following structure:

• wherein R4a, R4b, and R6a are independently selected from Cl, amino, or hydroxy, the last two of which are optionally substituted by alkyl, alkylamino, alkylhydroxy, alicyclic, heterocyclic, aryl, and alkyl- or arylsulfonic acid, where each of the optional substituents may further be optionally substituted by one or more groups selected from the group consisting of hydroxy and amino,
• wherein R6b is linked to phospholipid-PEGn, where the number of PEG units, n, is about 10-250, phospholipid, or dendrimer (G3-G10),
• wherein the linker is composed of PEG, alkyl, heteroalkyl, heterocyclic, or aryl, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.
