Claims14
A method for reducing new incidence rate of diabetes due to administration of HMG-CoA RI comprising the step of administering a pharmaceutical composition containing at least one member selected from the group consisting of eicosapentaenoic acid and its pharmaceutically acceptable salts and esters as its effective component to a patient having a fasting blood glucose at least from 110 mg/dL to less than 126 mg/dL, administered with HMG-CoA RI.
A method for suppressing increase of blood glucose due to administration of HMG-CoA RI comprising the step of administering a pharmaceutical composition containing at least one member selected from the group consisting of eicosapentaenoic acid and its pharmaceutically acceptable salts and esters as its effective component to a patient having a fasting blood glucose at least from 110 mg/dL to less than 126 mg/dL, administered with HMG-CoA RI.
