Abstract
A probe, including an insertion tube and an electrode mounted on a distal end of the insertion tube. A force sensor is mounted in the distal end of the insertion tube. The force sensor has a central opening and is configured to measure a force on the distal end. The probe also includes tubing, passing through the central opening, which is configured to supply irrigation fluid through apertures in the electrode.

A probe, comprising:
- an insertion tube;
- a distal electrode mounted on a distal end of the insertion tube;
- a force sensor mounted in the distal end, the force sensor having a joint and a central opening and being configured to measure a force on the distal end;
- a proximal electrode mounted proximal to the joint of the force sensor;
- first tubing, running from a proximal end of the insertion tube to the distal end, passing through the central opening, and configured to supply irrigation fluid through apertures in the distal electrode;
- and
- second tubing, running from a proximal end of the insertion tube, entering the central opening, and configured to supply irrigation fluid through apertures in the proximal electrode.
