Abstract
Methods and apparatus for providing data processing and control for use in a medical communication system are provided.
Claims18
A method performed using one or more processors, the method comprising:
- determining a first filtered value associated with received analyte related data based on a first predetermined time period and the received analyte related data;
- determining a second filtered value associated with the received analyte related data based on a second predetermined time period and the received analyte related data;
- determining a variance in a rate of change of an analyte level;
- generating a weighted average value based on the first filtered value, the second filtered value, a weighting function, and the determined variance in the rate of change of the analyte level;
- determining a third filtered value associated with the received analyte related data based at least in part on the weighted average value and a predetermined parameter;
- modifying the weighting function based upon the third filtered value;
- and
- controlling administration of therapy based on the determined third filtered value.
5 more elements
An apparatus, comprising:
- a data processing unit;
- and
- a memory operatively coupled to the data processing unit and for storing instructions which, when executed by the data processing unit, causes the data processing unit to determine a first filtered value associated with received analyte related data based on a first predetermined time period and the received analyte related data, determine a second filtered value associated with the received analyte related data based on a second predetermined time period and the received analyte related data, determine a variance in a rate of change of an analyte level, generate a weighted average value based on the first filtered value, the second filtered value, a weighting function, and the determined variance in the rate of change of the analyte level, determine a third filtered value associated with the received analyte related data based at least in part on the weighted average value and a predetermined parameter, modify the weighting function based upon the third filtered value, and to control administration of therapy based on the determined third filtered value.
