Disclosed herein are methods and compositions for treating or preventing Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) infection in a subject.

A composition comprising an inactivated porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) entrapped within a nanoparticle, wherein the composition further comprises an adjuvant, wherein the adjuvant comprises a Mycobacterium lysate.
