Abstract
A peel-resistant mechanism includes a body and a plurality of arms extending from the body such that a recess is defined between each pair of adjacent arms. At least one of the arms is positionable to facilitate restricting an edge disbond from spreading across the body of the patch.
Claims12
A method of providing a peel-resistant mechanism, said method comprising:
- positioning a body;
- and
- forming a plurality of arms on the body, wherein each of the arms includes a first section coupled to the body and a second section extending from the body such that a recess is defined between each pair of adjacent arms, wherein the first section has a smaller width than the second section, and the second section is wider than a greatest width of the recess, wherein at least one of the plurality of arms is positionable to facilitate restricting an edge disbond from spreading across the body.
