Television show text information, logos and/or trademarks, celebrity images, affiliation indicators, and advertisements may be present in the program listings to enhance the electronic program guides.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method for executing a function related to a media asset in a media guidance application, the method comprising:
receiving, using processing circuitry, data associated with a plurality of media assets;
processing, using the processing circuitry, the data to generate a plurality of media asset listings, wherein one of the plurality of media asset listings comprises a celebrity image and a title overlaid on top of the celebrity image;
generating for display the plurality of media asset listings;
receiving a user selection of the celebrity image and the overlaid title associated with the one of the plurality of media asset listings; and
executing a function related to the one of the plurality of media asset listings in response to the received user selection.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the one of the plurality of media asset listings further comprises an advertisement.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein generating for display the plurality of media asset listings further comprises:
arranging the plurality of media asset listings in a grid, based on content associated with the plurality of media assets.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The method of claim 3, wherein the one of the plurality of media asset listings is larger than other media asset listings in the plurality of media asset listings.

### Claim 5 (depends on 3)

The method of claim 3, wherein the plurality of media asset listings is arranged in the grid based on categories associated with the plurality of media asset listings.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the title corresponding to the one of the plurality of media asset listings is graphically branded.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the data associated with the plurality of media assets is received independently from receiving the plurality of media assets.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the one of the plurality of media asset listings further comprises a logo of a content provider.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein executing the function related to the one of the plurality of media asset listings comprises at least one of generating for display, recording, adding to a favorite list, and ordering the media asset corresponding to the one of the plurality of media asset listings.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the one of the plurality of media asset listings further comprises a logo of a sponsor.

### Claim 11

A system for executing a function related to a media asset in a media guidance application, the system comprising:
processing circuitry configured to:
receive data associated with a plurality of media assets;
process the data to generate a plurality of media asset listings, wherein one of the plurality of media asset listings comprises a celebrity image and a title overlaid on top of the celebrity image; and
generate for display the plurality of media asset listings;
receive a user selection of the celebrity image and the overlaid title associated with the one of the plurality of media asset listings; and
execute a function related to the one of the plurality of media asset listings in response to the received user selection.

### Claim 12 (depends on 11)

The system of claim 11, wherein the one of the plurality of media asset listings further comprises an advertisement.
