## Abstract

A method and a thermo-chemical system for removing organic deposits such as wax, asphaltenes and resins in oil well borehole, and oil production and transportation tubing and pathway.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method for treating or removing organic deposits formed around oil well boreholes, oil production and transportation tubing, and pathway systems comprising:
injecting a first heavy aromatic naphtha based solution, the first solution including LABSA or aliphatic acids or mixtures of both;
injecting a second heavy aromatic naphtha based solution, the second solution including amines;
reacting the first and second solutions to produce imides and heat; and
using the heat generated from the reaction to remove the organic deposits.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the first solution includes LABSA in a suitable solvent with or without additives such as corrosion inhibitors or surfactants.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The method of claim 2, wherein the LABSA component has four, eight, or twelve average carbon number in the alkyl side chain or mixture thereof.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the first solution includes aliphatic acids such as formic, acetic and propanoic acids in a suitable solvent.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the first solution includes acetic acid in a suitable solvent.

### Claim 6 (depends on 2)

The method of claim 2, wherein the first solution includes mixture of LABSA and aliphatic acid, which is formic, acetic or propanoic acid in a suitable solvent.

### Claim 7 (depends on 2)

The method of claim 2, wherein the first solution includes a mixture of LABSA and acetic acid in a suitable solvent.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the second solution includes organic bases selected from alkyl amines, ethylene amines and poly amines in a suitable solvent.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the second solution includes aliphatic amines selected from ethyl, propyl, butyl, pentyl amine and a mixture thereof in a suitable solvent.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the second solution includes butyl amine amines in a suitable solvent.

### Claim 11 (depends on 2)

The method of claim 2, wherein the suitable solvent is an organic solvent selected from toluene, xylene, heavy aromatic solvents, diesel, naphtha, petroleum distillates and a mixture thereof.

### Claim 12 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the concentration of LABSA and aliphatic acids or their mixture thereof is between 1-90%.

### Claim 13 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the concentration of LABSA or aliphatic acids or their mixture thereof is between 40-95%.

### Claim 14 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the concentration of LABSA and aliphatic acid or their mixture thereof is between 50-80%.

### Claim 15 (depends on 8)

The method of claim 8, wherein the concentration of aliphatic amines, ethyl enediamine or polyamines or their mixture thereof is between 1-95%.

### Claim 16 (depends on 8)

The method of claim 8, wherein the concentration of aliphatic amines, ethylendiamine, polyamines or their mixture thereof is between 40-95%.

### Claim 17 (depends on 8)

The method of claim 8, wherein the concentration of aliphatic amines, ethylendiamine, polyamines or their mixture thereof is between 50-80%.

### Claim 18 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the first and second solutions are injected into one or more areas affected with organic deposition, at more or less the same time.

### Claim 19 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the first and second solutions are injected into a production or transportation pathway, tubing, flow line, or pipeline at more or less the same time.

### Claim 20 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising injecting the first and second solutions into a well having a lower part of production tubing in communication with an annulus, wherein the first solution is introduced into the production tubing and the second solution is introduced into the annulus in a manner such that the mixing of the first and second solution takes place at the bottom portion of the production tubing and the mixture together with the heat generated may be carried further down the well to where the organic deposits are located.

### Claim 21 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising injecting into a well having another tube is provided inside a production tubing, wherein the first solution is infected into the tube and the second solution is injected into an annulus between the production tubing and the tube in a manner such that their mixing takes place at a bottom portion of the tube and the mixture together with the heat generated may be carried further down the well to where the organic deposits are located.

### Claim 22 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising injecting the first solution into a coil tubing unit (“CTU”) of a well and injecting the second solution into an annulus between the CTU and a production tubing in a manner such that the mixing takes place at a bottom portion of the CTU and the resultant mixture which by virtue of exothermic reaction generates heat and the mixture together with the heat generated may be carried further down the well to where the organic deposits are located.

### Claim 23 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein to increase the temperature of the mixture, the first and second solutions are heated prior to their injection.

### Claim 24 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the injection of the first and second solutions is preceded by an organic solvent formulation called a pre-flush, which helps prepare deposit surfaces for easy interaction with the mixture.
