## Abstract

According to the invention, there is provided seed and plants of the hybrid corn variety designated CH481033. The invention thus relates to the plants, seeds and tissue cultures of the variety CH481033, and to methods for producing a corn plant produced by crossing a corn plant of variety CH481033 with itself or with another corn plant, such as a plant of another variety. The invention further relates to genetic complements of plants of variety CH481033.

### Claim 7

A seed produced by crossing
(a) a plant produced by crossing a plant of variety CV890045, or a selfed progeny thereof, having a transgene introduced by backcrossing or transformation, with a plant of variety I285291,
(b) a plant produced by crossing a plant of variety I285291, or a selfed progeny thereof, having a transgene introduced by backcrossing or transformation, with a plant of variety CV890045, or
(c) a plant produced by crossing a plant of variety I285291, or a selfed progeny thereof, having a transgene introduced by backcrossing or transformation, with a plant produced by crossing a plant of variety CV890045, or a selfed progeny thereof, having a transgene introduced by backcrossing or transformation.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The seed of claim 7, wherein the transgene confers a trait selected from the group consisting of male sterility, herbicide tolerance, insect resistance, disease resistance, waxy starch, modified fatty acid metabolism, modified phytic acid metabolism, modified carbohydrate metabolism and modified protein metabolism.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

A method of producing the seed of claim 1 comprising crossing a plant of variety CV890045 with a plant of variety I285291, wherein representative seed of variety CV890045 and variety I285291 have been deposited under ATCC Accession numbers PTA-121098 and PTA-7994, respectively.

### Claim 10

A seed of hybrid corn variety CH481033, further comprising a first single locus conversion, produced by crossing a first plant of variety CV890045 with a second plant of variety I285291, wherein representative seed of said varieties CV890045 and I285291 have been deposited under ATCC Accession numbers PTA-121098 and PTA-7994, respectively, and wherein one or both of the first plant and second plant further comprises the single locus conversion, and wherein a plant grown from said seed comprises a trait conferred by said first single locus conversion and otherwise comprises essentially all of the morphological and physiological characteristics of hybrid corn variety CH481033.

### Claim 11 (depends on 10)

The seed of claim 10, wherein the single locus conversion confers a trait selected from the group consisting of male sterility, herbicide tolerance, insect resistance, disease resistance, waxy starch, modified fatty acid metabolism, modified phytic acid metabolism, modified carbohydrate metabolism and modified protein metabolism.

### Claim 12 (depends on 10)

A plant grown from the seed of claim 10.

### Claim 13

A method of introducing a heritable trait into hybrid corn variety CH481033 comprising the steps of:
(a) introducing at least a first heritable trait into at least one inbred corn variety selected from the group consisting of variety CV890045 and variety I285291 to produce a plant of the first inbred corn variety that heritably carries the trait, wherein the heritable trait is introduced into said first inbred corn variety by backcrossing and wherein representative samples of seed of variety CV890045 and variety I285291 have been deposited under ATCC Accession numbers PTA-121098 and PTA-7994, respectively; and
(b) crossing a plant of the first inbred corn variety that heritably carries the trait with a plant of a different variety selected from said group consisting of CV890045 and I285291 to produce a plant of hybrid corn variety CH481033 comprising the heritable trait.

### Claim 14 (depends on 13)
