Abstract
A method for establishing multiple radio connections by a user equipment (UE) is described. The method includes receiving a first physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) that includes a first cyclic redundancy check (CRC) scrambled by a first cell radio network temporary identifier (C-RNTI) in a primary radio connection. The method also includes decoding the first PDCCH. The method also includes receiving a second PDCCH that includes a second CRC scrambled by a second C-RNTI in a secondary radio connection. The method also includes decoding the second PDCCH.

A secondary evolved NodeB (SeNB) for dual connectivity, comprising:
- a processor;
- memory in electronic communication with the processor, wherein instructions stored in the memory are executable to:
- send, to a primary evolved NodeB (PeNB), a radio resource control (RRC) message for an addition of a second set of cell(s) of the SeNB, wherein the RRC message includes control information and the control information includes a new cell radio network temporary identifier (C-RNTI),
- wherein in dual connectivity the first set of cell(s) of the PeNB and the second set of cell(s) of the SeNB are configured for a user equipment (UE).
