Abstract
A system may comprise a plurality of signal processing paths, a bin-wise combiner, an inverse transformation block, and a DAC. Each signal processing path may comprise a transformation block that is operable to transform a first time-domain digital signal to an associated frequency-domain signal having a plurality of subband signals. The bin-wise combiner may be operable to combine corresponding subband signals of the plurality of signal processing paths. The inverse transformation block may be operable to transform output of the bin-wise combiner to an second time-domain signal. The DAC may be operable to converts the second time-domain signal to a corresponding analog signal.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- performing by circuitry of an electronic receiver:
- receiving a first version of a signal via a first antenna of said electronic receiver;
- dividing said first version of said signal into a plurality of subbands comprising at least a first subband and a second subband;
- receiving a second version of said signal via a second antenna of said electronic receiver;
- dividing said second version of said signal into a plurality of subbands comprising at least said first subband and a second subband;
- cophasing and combining said first subband of said first version of said signal and said first subband of said second version of said signal to generate a first subband of a combined signal;
- and
- cophasing and combining said second subband of said first version of said signal and said second subband of said second version of said signal to generate a second subband of a combined signal.
A system comprising:
- circuitry of an electronic receiver comprising a first antenna, a second antenna, and a combiner circuit, wherein said circuitry is operable to:
- receive, via said first antenna, a first version of a signal;
- divide said first version of said signal into a plurality of subbands comprising at least a first subband and a second subband;
- receive, via said second antenna, a second version of said signal;
- divide said second version of said signal into a plurality of subbands comprising at least said first subband and a second subband;
- cophase and combine, in said combiner circuit, said first subband of said first version of said signal and said first subband of said second version of said signal to generate a first subband of a combined signal;
- and
- cophase and combine, in said combiner circuit, said second subband of first version of said signal and said second subband of second version of said signal to generate a second subband of a combined signal.
