Abstract
The present invention relates to an assembly of pipe surrounded by a multilayer oxygen barrier film wherein the multilayer oxygen barrier film comprises, in the following order, a) a layer comprising 60-100 wt % of LLDPE (linear low density polyethylene) and 0-40 wt % of LDPE (low density polyethylene), b) a first tie layer, c) a polar oxygen barrier layer, d) a second tie layer and e) a layer comprising 60-100 wt % of LLDPE and 0-40 wt % of LDPE, preferably wherein the pipe is closer to the layer e) than to the layer a).
Claims16
An assembly of pipe surrounded by a multilayer oxygen barrier film wherein the multilayer oxygen barrier film comprises, in the following order,
- a) a layer comprising 60-100 wt % of LLDPE (linear low density polyethylene) and 0-40 wt % of LDPE (low density polyethylene),
- b) a first tie layer,
- c) a polar oxygen barrier layer,
- d) a second tie layer and
- e) a layer comprising 60-100 wt % of LLDPE and 0-40 wt % of LDPE.
An assembly of pipe surrounded by a multilayer oxygen barrier film wherein the multilayer oxygen barrier film comprises, in the following order,
- a) a layer comprising 60-100 wt % of LLDPE (linear low density polyethylene) and 0-40 wt % of LDPE (low density polyethylene),
- b) a first tie layer,
- c) a polar oxygen barrier layer, wherein layer c) has a thickness from 2 to 4 μm;
- d) a second tie layer and
- e) a layer comprising 60-100 wt % of LLDPE and 0-40 wt % of LDPE preferably wherein the pipe is closer to the layer e) than to the layer a);
- wherein the amount of the EVOH in the layer c) is at least 60 wt %;
- wherein each of the layer a) and the layer e) comprises LDPE in an amount of 5-15 wt %;
- wherein the pipe is made of a polymer selected from the group consisting of polybutylene (PB), crosslinked polyethylene (PEX), Polyethylene of Raised Temperature resistance (PERT) and polypropylene (PP);
- and
- wherein the film has a total layer thickness of 20 to 25 μm.
