Abstract
Compositions and methods are disclosed for modulating disease resistance in plants.

A transgenic plant which exhibits increased resistance to a disease caused by a mycotoxin-producing fungus, wherein the plant contains at least one exogenous nucleic acid selected from
- a) a first exogenous nucleic acid containing a promoter functional in the plant operably linked to SEQ ID NO:
- 1;
- and
- b) a second exogenous nucleic acid that contains a promoter functional in the plant operably linked to SEQ ID NO:
