Abstract
An image processing apparatus includes an image processing unit configured to carry out processing on an image formed on a sheet, a power unit for the image processing unit connected to a plurality of power grids, a storage unit configured to store information about cost of power supplied from each of the power grids, and a control unit configured to select one of the power grids based on the stored information, and control the power unit to supply power from the selected power grid to the image processing unit.
Claims20
An image processing apparatus comprising:
- an image processing unit configured to carry out processing on an image formed on a sheet;
- a power unit for the image processing unit connected to a plurality of power grids;
- a storage unit configured to store information about cost of power supplied from each of the power grids;
- and
- a control unit configured to select one of the power grids based on the stored information, and control the power unit to supply power from the selected power grid to the image processing unit.
A method for operating an image processing apparatus, comprising:
- selecting a power grid from a plurality of power grids, based on information about cost of power supplied from each of the power grids;
- supplying power from the selected power grid to an image processing unit;
- and
- carrying out, at the image processing unit, processing on an image formed on a sheet using the supplied power.
A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising a program that is executable in a computing device to cause the computing device to perform operating an image processing apparatus, the method comprising:
- selecting a power grid from a plurality of power grids, based on information about cost of power supplied from each of the power grids;
- supplying power from the selected power grid to an image processing unit;
- and
- carrying out, at the image processing unit, processing on an image formed on a sheet using the supplied power.
