Abstract
A function execution device, which is capable of executing one or more functions, which has a communication device configured to communicate with an information processing device, a displaying device configured to display a screen corresponding to one of the functions, a storing device configured to store identifying information which identifies a screen to be displayed on the displaying device for each of the functions, and a controller. The controller executes instructions to provide a transmitting unit configured to transmit the identifying information identifying the screen being displayed on the displaying device and an invoking command to invoke an application corresponding to the identifying information to the information processing device through the communication device.
Claims21
A function execution device capable of executing one or more functions, comprising:
- a communication device configured to communicate with an information processing device;
- a displaying device configured to display screens, wherein each screen corresponds to one of the one or more functions;
- a receiving device configured to receive a user instruction;
- a storing device configured to store:
- one or more pieces of identifying information identifying the screens, respectively;
- and
- relationship information identifying a relationship among the one or more functions, the one or more pieces of identifying information, and one or more applications executed in the information processing device, each of the one or more applications being configured to control a corresponding one of the one or more functions;
- and
- a controller,
- wherein, when the receiving device receives the user instruction to switch a screen displayed on the displaying device to a switched screen of the screens, the controller is configured to:
- determine one of the one or more pieces of identifying information identifying the switched screen;
- and
- determine, based on the one or more pieces of identifying information and the relationship information, whether there exists an application related to the switched screen;
- wherein, in response to a determination that there exists the application related to the switched screen, the controller executes instructions to provide, via a transmitting unit:
- one of the one or more pieces of identifying information identifying the switched screen and an invoking command to invoke the application corresponding to the switched screen to the information processing device through the communication device.
A system comprising:
- a functional peripheral;
- and
- a smartphone:
- wherein the functional peripheral further comprises:
- a first interface;
- a second interface of which a communication speed is faster than that of the first interface;
- a first memory storing a first table, the first table containing a correspondence of a function and a screen ID, the screen ID being for identifying a screen displayed currently on the first display while the function is executed;
- a first display;
- a first processor coupled to the first interface, the second interface, the first memory and the first display;
- wherein the smartphone further comprises;
- a third interface that is communicable with the first interface;
- a fourth interface of which a communication speed is faster than that of the third interface, the fourth interface being communicable with the second interface;
- a second memory storing a second table, the second table containing the screen ID in association with a particular application;
- a second display;
- and
- a second processor;
- wherein the first processor is configured to:
- determine whether a first communication between the functional peripheral and the smartphone through the first interface and the third interface has been established;
- when the first communication has been established, transmit the screen ID and invoking command to the smartphone through the first interface;
- wherein the second processor is configured to:
- receive the identifying information and the invoking command transmitted from the functional peripheral;
- determine the particular application that is identified by the received screen ID by referring to the second table stored in the second memory;
- invoke the particular application in accordance with the received invoking command;
- and
- control the second display to display a screen corresponding to the received screen ID.
A function execution device comprising:
- a first interface;
- a second interface of which a communication speed is faster than that of the first interface;
- a first memory storing a first table, the first table containing a correspondence of a first function and a first screen ID, the first screen ID being for identifying a first screen displayed currently on the first display while the first function is executed;
- a first display;
- a first processor, coupled to the first interface, the first memory and the first display;
- wherein the first processor is configured to:
- determine whether a first communication between the function execution device and an information processing device through the first interface has been established;
- when the first communication has been established, transmit the first screen ID, a first invoking command and a first establishing information to the information processing device through the first interface,
- wherein the first invoking command causes the information processing device to invoke a first particular application identified by the first screen ID, and the first establishing information is used for establishing a second communication through the second interface with the information processing device;
- establish the second communication through the second interface with the information processing device by using the first establishing information;
- receive first application information outputted by the first particular application in the information processing device through the second interface;
- and
- control the first display to display information corresponding to the received first application information.
